Description: Isolation mounts are used to attach and position systems, accommodate displacement, and isolate components from the surrounding structure (vibration, shock, noise.) Pedestal Mounts feature an integrated support pedestal that allows the mount to be installed to a flat support surface using bolted joints. They often have an integrated center threaded stud or threaded hole to attach to the supported system. Attributes: Cat® Mounting Systems are designed to reduce stress and strain on mounted components to increase their durability and performance life, and to contribute to operator comfort. The entire system (mount design, material selection, placement, hardware, etc.) is optimized and validated to meet specific application requirements. Pedestal Mounts are easily attached in place and allow drop-in installation of engines or other systems. Leveling nuts may be used on mounts with studs to allow fine-tuning of position. Pedestal Mounts for marine applications are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum or coated steel. Applications: Pedestal Mounts are often used to support engines. Marine mounts are used to support marine engines in corrosive environments.
