Description: A Backup Ring is an anti-extrusion ring It prevents extrusion or damage to an elastomeric seal, such as an O-ring or a piston seal, under high-pressure or dynamic conditions. They provide support to the seal, limiting its radial expansion and maintaining its effectiveness. Attributes: • Offer good resistance to extrusion and high-pressure conditions. • Provide support to the seal and help to distribute the sealing load. Applications: A Backup Ring is used in the piston motor to provide additional sealing and support for the piston seal and is mainly used in Cat 320, 328D, 330, 330C, 330D, 336, 336D, and 340D Oem Applications, 320C, 320D, 321B, 321C, 321D, 325, 325C, 325F, 328D, 330C, 330D, 335F, 336, 336D, 336E, 336F, 340D, 340F, and 345 Excavators, 330C and 330D Material Handler, D3K and D6K Track Type Tractor.
